Here we are on the last leg of our journey. Our original plan was to leave Tennessee and head towards home. But while on vacation we learned that the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln was right on our way.
So...we stopped of course!
This is the Cabin Memorial. This is a memorial to the cabin in which Abe Lincoln was born. It is a mini of the one in DC except for inside is NOT a giant statue of Lincoln. It's a model of the cabin he was born in.
Here Sean and the boys are looking down at the Sinking Spring. This would've been where they got their drinking water. Lucas said there was no way he would have ever drank it.
Here is the final picture of the boys. They were really sick of getting their pictures taken. So I am lucky to have this last one.
We were originally going to get a hotel in Ohio for the night, but Sean really wanted to get home to our own bed. So we just kept on trucking. We got in at 3 am this morning!
You can really tell that we are from Erie County, NY just by all the pictures of gas prices we keep taking. But we were so excited to see this one that I whipped right off the highway across 3 lanes of traffic, safely of course.
So that was our vacation. I hope everyone enjoyed the trip with us. The boys were really good for it all. So we may do a road trip again. We are happy, yet sad, to be home. We had so much fun, but normalcy is going to feel so good!
